About Us

The New Iowa Conference Center of The United Methodist Church opened in March 2005.  A project under construction for nearly 18 months – the groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 4, 2003, the new Center serves Iowa’s 824 congregations and is the “home” of the Conference’s nearly 195,000 members.

Contact the Communications Team or call: 515.974.8907 to arrange a tour for your group…or just stop in and see your faith home and ministry center.  Please make arrangements for guided tours a minimum of two weeks in advance.  If you wish to meet the Bishop, you will need to make prior arrangements through the Episcopal office at 515.974.8902. 

All guided tours require that prior arrangements be made through the Communications office.  The tour takes approximately 1 hour.  Tours must be given during building hours which are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.  No tours are given during the week of Annual Conference in June, or on holidays when the building is closed.
